Want to better manage daily stress, improve sleep quality and support mental function? Choose Ashwagandha - an adaptogenic herb known since ancient times and restore harmony to the body naturally.

Ashwagandha (Latin: Withania somnifera), also known as Indian ginseng or winter cherry, is an herb that has been used since ancient times. For centuries, it has been regarded as 'Rasayana', or a rejuvenating herb that promotes longevity and slows down the ageing process. It has also been described as an aphrodisiac and thehe ashwagandha root has a particularly strengthening effect. Its Latin species name 'somnifera' means 'sleep-inducing' [1].Ashwagandha is known for its strong adaptogenic (to better cope with stress) and nootropic (to improve cognitive function, concentration and memory) effects. Other properties of ashwagandha also include support for healthy sleep, hormonal system function and overall physical fitness, among others.

Studies suggest that taking ashwagandha root extract enhances stress resistance and improves cognitive function and mood in adults - a significantly improved response to stress has been observed in as little as 30 days of supplementation [2]. Therefore, it is considered to be a herb that can counteract many of the problems associated with ageing [1]. Additionally, winter cherry extract - by affecting the autonomic nervous system - may have anti-fatigue effects [6].It has been suggested that ashwagandha also has a positive effect on the endocrine system and it has also been shown that it can improve sexual function in both men [7] and women [8]. It is produced by aqueous extraction and obtained without the use of alcohol or other chemical solvents. It also contains no fillers such as maltodextrin or cellulose, and is instead one of the extracts with the highest standardisation for withanolides among branded ashwagandha root extracts. The recommended daily serving (1 capsule) contains as much as 200 mg of KSM-66® standardised to 5% withanolides (10 mg). The product is available in a pack containing 60, 120 or 180 capsules, so you can tailor your purchase to your preferred length of supplementation.
