How to choose an astaxanthin supplement

Strengths usually range from 4mg to 12mg per softgel. Look for the source on the label, such as AstaPure or AstaReal from algae, and whether it is suspended in an oil such as olive or sunflower oil, as astaxanthin is fat-soluble and is usually taken with a meal.
