How to choose a CLA supplement
CLA, or conjugated linoleic acid, is a fatty acid usually extracted from safflower oil. It is mostly sold as softgels, with many products providing around 1000mg of oil per capsule. Some formulas combine CLA with green tea extract, L-carnitine or chromium, and a few come as flavoured powders.

When comparing, check how much CLA is in each softgel rather than the total oil, the number of softgels per serving and whether the formula contains other active ingredients such as caffeine.
