Individual Amino Acids

Types of individual amino acids

Single amino acid supplements let you choose one ingredient at a set amount, rather than a ready-made blend. This range covers glutamine, taurine, L-arginine, citrulline malate, beta-alanine, glycine, L-tyrosine, L-theanine, L-methionine, L-proline and GABA, along with related products such as alpha lipoic acid.

Brands include OstroVit, Swanson, Skill Nutrition, Trec Nutrition and SciTec. Many people add unflavoured powders to a shake or pre-workout drink, while capsules suit those who prefer a fixed dose.

Powder or capsules?

Powders usually offer more servings per pack; capsules are easier to measure and carry.
