About beta-carotene

Beta-carotene occurs mainly in algae and in yellow, orange and dark green vegetables such as carrots, sweet potato and spinach. Because it is fat-soluble, a softgel is a convenient way to take it. The body converts beta-carotene into retinol (vitamin A) as it needs it, so it is often chosen by people looking for a plant-derived alternative to preformed vitamin A supplements.

Available in 90 softgels and 180 softgels.

Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
