About calcium lactate
Calcium lactate is formed when calcium is combined with lactic acid. It is readily absorbed and, unlike some calcium sources such as bone meal or hydroxyapatite, it contains no phosphorus, which makes it useful for people who already get plenty of phosphorus from their diet. Beyond its well-known role in bones and teeth, calcium is also involved in normal muscle contraction and nerve signalling.
