Chlorophyll is the pigment that plants and algae produce naturally, and it is what gives them their green colour. It plays a central role in photosynthesis, the process plants use to turn sunlight into chemical energy. In this product it is supplied as sodium copper chlorophyllin, a version that dissolves in water, and it has traditionally been taken as an internal deodoriser. Alfalfa powder is added to round out the formula.
