NOW Foods SAMe, 400mg is an enteric-coated tablet providing S-adenosylmethionine, usually shortened to SAMe. This is a compound the body produces naturally, and it takes part in a great many biochemical reactions.

SAMe acts as a donor in chemical processes throughout the body, including the making of neurotransmitters, the chemical messengers used by nerve cells. On its own SAMe can be fragile, which is why the tablets have an enteric coating. This keeps the contents protected and also makes the tablets well tolerated by most people. Two pack sizes let you choose between a shorter supply and a longer one.

Recommended use
Take 1 tablet 2 to 4 times daily, preferably on an empty stomach.
